A Gospel Primer

Learning to see the glories of God’s love. By Milton Vincent

The gospel of Jesus Christ is not only for before you were saved. The gospel is for every day of the believers life, and we need to preach the gospel to ourselves daily. Jude wrote to believers saying "I was making every effort to write to you about our common salvation," and Paul wrote to the believing church in Rome that he was "eager to proclaim the gospel to you also who are in Rome." We need a gospel reminder daily with all its various components, so we can live as Christ battling the flesh, world and the devil, while avoiding ditches of legalism and moralism that wait to waylay us in our christian walk.

Milton Vincent has provided a wonderfully short and useful book divided into 31 chapters for a daily preaching of the gospel. He has annotated each chapter with scripture that pulls you into the marvelous blessing of God's Word. There are also two variations of the gospel message, in prose and poetry, to use as you preach the gospel daily into your life. At under 100 pages this quick read is packed with meat. It is also excellent to use as a daily devotional that can be completed over the course of a month and repeated often.
